Highlights from our wonderful week!

What a beautiful week we have had!  Gorgeous and fun!  Mike was out of town for most of it (Monday through Thursday) so Paige, Jonah, Jack and I kept ourselves happy and busy.  We spent a LOT of time at the park down the street, enjoyed the library and lots of books on the not so pretty day, went hiking with good friends up Cougar Mountain another day and learned some new skills!
A few highlights-

Paige learned to ride her bike (without training wheels)!  Her sweet friend Grace actually taught her to ride.  She was so patient and knew exactly how to do it.  She got Paige on a grassy hill, steadied her and then told her to pedal.  That pretty much did it!  I mean, there were falls and a lot of practices, but at the end of and hour Paige begged me to let her ride around the 1/3 mile loop around the park.  Of course I let her!  And now she's a regular rider!

woohoo!

And then not to be outdone, Jonah learned too!  I taught him with the same techniques as Grace used.  His only problem is braking- or not braking.  He doesn't. Jonah has 2 speeds.  On and off.

And here is Jack eating dried mango after our hike up Cougar.  Look at that dirty face!  It got that way by falling multiple times.  He was AWESOME though.  Just like Jonah and Paige, he never said he was tired or anything.  He just tried to keep up with the big kids!  And sometimes that resulted in a spill.  Usually, he'd just get up, dust off his hands and knees and keep going.  There were a couple of times that Mommy's kiss was needed though!

And this week, Jack has taken an interest in letters!  Here are some more little videos displaying his interest of the week! I happen to think they're pretty cute!

And those were just a few highlights...Hope you all had a great week too!

Paige's Memory

We are so proud of our girl (and hope you don't mind our bragging just a little!)!  Last week, we realized that Paige has retained all memory verses she had learned each week in January through March with just a simple word or phrase to start it off.  She even remembers the references.  Woohoo!
In the video below, taken last weekend, Paige was captured by Daddy and was told that her only way out was to recite Mary's Song of Praise (Luke 1 46-55) which she learned in December.  She was the only 1st grader at church to memorize the whole thing.  I love how it is on her heart now and that she can recite it in the midst of absolute chaos!

So, excuse our little brag, but you have to agree (or not!).  She's pretty cool!
