Where's Dod?

Jack and I were having a spiritual discussion in the car the other day.
Jack: Mom, where's Dod?
Me: Huh?
Jack: Where's Dod?
Me: Oh... You mean God?
Jack: Yes, Dod
Me: God is in Heaven.
Jack: But I han't see Him! I want to wave to him!
Me: God can see you wherever you are! If you wave to him, he can see you.
Jack (wildly waving his hand over his head): Hi Dod! Hi Dod! Hi Dod!

Paige is 7!

How did that happen?! 7 is a big number!  I know there are lots of  bigger numbers out there, but it just seems like 7 is huge!
But our Paigey is still our Paigey.  She's a sweet little girl, growing into a big girl slowly.  She's really innocent and kind and so thoughtful. She loves to read, especially "American Girl" books and is also super active.  She loves running, hiking, geocaching, swimming...anything outdoors! She is definitely her Daddy's girl and loves order.  Her crayons always get put back into the box correctly, she never mixes playdough, and rainbows are always "red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple," never out of order...

Speaking of rainbows....Paige wanted to have a rainbow themed party this year.  Here are some pictures!

Mike will do anything for his "Baby Girl"- even if he needs to dress like a rainbow to make her smile!

The kiddos made window decorations- overhead transparencies that they cut out and painted with glass paint.  They are really beautiful and should look lovely when placed on the windows- if the sun should ever come out!

Having fun with her friend!

Just being cute!

Here is Jack, helping me by putting candles on the cake.  He spaced them out really well!

This cake had me slaving all day long.... Just kidding! It actually took less than 10 minutes (probably closer to 5) to frost and decorate.  Woohoo!

Our pretty birthday girl!

It really was a rainbow cake!

And maybe we'll even see a rainbow today when the sun comes out!  Wouldn't that be cool?  I know Paige would LOVE it! But she will definitely love her peanut butter pancake and smoothie dinner, going to the fireworks with her special friends and a sleepover with her best girlfriend!  Happy Birthday Sweet Paige!
